چکیده

Abstract Background Both physical and psychological health outcomes have been associated with exposure to environmental noise. Noise sensitivity could the same moderating effect on related noise as annoyance but this has little tested. Methods A cohort of 2398 men between 45 59 years, longitudinal Caerphilly Collaborative Heart Disease study, was established in 1984/88 followed into mid-1990s. Road traffic maps were assessed at baseline. Psychological ill-health measured phase 2 1984/88, 3 (1989/93) 4 (1993/7). Ischaemic heart disease clinic baseline through hospital records deaths during follow up. We examined associations road ischaemic morbidity mortality using Cox Proportional Hazard Models Logistic Regression; we also whether might moderate these associations. tested if predictors ill-health. Road-Traffic Noise: Annoyance, Risk Perception, and Noise Sensitivity in the Finnish Adult Population

Exposure to road-traffic noise commonly engenders annoyance, the extent of which is determined by factors not fully understood. Our aim was to estimate the prevalence and determinants of road-traffic noise annoyance and noise sensitivity in the Finnish adult population, while comparing the perceptions of road-traffic noise to exhausts as environmental health problems. Using a questionnaire that...

Association of Road Traffic Noise Exposure and Driving Behaviors

Background: The noise caused by traffic is an increasingly prominent feature of urban environments. However, limited studies have been focused on the assessment of exposure-response relationship between road traffic noise exposure and driving behaviors in Iran. The present study aimed to investigate the prevalence of the violations caused by road traffic noise exposure in Qazvin, Iran. Methods...

Community annoyance from road traffic noise and construction noise in urban spaces

This paper provides an overview of the exposure-response relationship between environmental noise and community annoyance and sound masking technique for noise abatement in urban spaces. Most previous studies focused on the community response in residential areas not urban spaces and evaluated the indoor environmental quality. However, many residents spent their daytime in outdoor such as open ...

Relationship between noise annoyance from road traffic noise and cardiovascular diseases: a meta-analysis.

Road traffic noise is an important source of noise annoyance in the community. We performed a meta-analysis to assess whether there is an association between noise annoyance from road traffic noise and cardiovascular diseases (arterial hypertension and ischemic heart disease) in adult population. The meta-analysis included studies that: a. had noise annoyance as exposure, quantified either as "...

road traffic noise model

background : the recognition of road traffic noise as one of the main sources of environmental pollution has led to develop models that enable to predict noise level from fundamental variables. traffic noise prediction models are required as aids for designing roads and highways. in addition, sometimes are used in the assessment of existing or envisaged changes in traffic noise conditions. in t...
